I am a former molecular biologist turned scriptorian. That might seem like quite a leap, but the two fields have more in common than you may think. I was trained to test hypotheses, question sources, and study events at a microscopic level. And that’s how I approach my writing.I run Times of Faith, my own multi-media operation, mostly because I got tired of other people's rules about how scripture study is supposed to look. I've written a Book of Mormon devotional series for women, a New Testament study guide, and I host a podcast called The Approachable Jesus, which is exactly what it sounds like: no seminary degree required.I've also spent over 13 years teaching at BYU, and at one point built the largest online Institute class in Utah—turns out people will show up for scripture study if you don't make it boring. When I'm not doing that, I'm helping people figure out their careers and personal brands through Mariner Business Advisors, a business I run with my husband, Bradford.Home is a moving target these days. You can usually find me in Pleasant Grove, Utah, with long stretches in Lille, France.
